Depression

Depression is considered a mood disorder characterised by distorted or inconsistent emotional states that interfere with an individual’s ability to function.

Art can be a powerful tool to relieve depression symptoms as art and craft techniques allow clients to use a broad range of material to express their emotions through building confidence, and encouraging expression and creativity. These benefits can reduce anxiety, rigid behaviors, and even physical health issues like heart disease and cancer. Art helps people process and express emotions they might struggle to communicate verbally. Creativity can boost confidence and ease depression symptoms.
